The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT), a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, has released its official recruitment notification (Advt. No. 07/2025 dated 28th July 2025) for the appointment of Clerks on a fixed tenure basis. This opportunity is open for graduates who wish to work in various operational states of FACT, including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, and Odisha.

Eligibility Criteria for FACT Clerk Recruitment

Educational Qualification

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (3-year or 6-semester courses only).
  • A minimum of 50% overall marks is mandatory, while reserved category candidates (SC/ST/PwBD) require at least 40%.
  • Degree must be obtained through regular full-time study.
  • Candidates who have completed graduation through distance, part-time, or correspondence mode are not eligible.
  • Courses exceeding three years (or more than 6 semesters) are not considered eligible.

Age Limit (as on 01 July 2025)

SC/ST Maximum permissible age is 31 years after 5-year relaxation.
PwBD 10 years relaxation; upper age limit is 36 years
General Maximum age should not exceed 26 years
Ex-Servicemen Age relaxation as per Government of India rules

Tenure and Salary Details

Selected candidates will be appointed on a Fixed Term Contract for two years, with the possibility of renewal for one year at a time, subject to performance review and business needs.

Pay Structure:

  • Consolidated Monthly Salary: ₹25,000
  • The pay will increase by 3% every year upon successful completion of the term.
  • Additional benefits as per company norms:
    • Provident Fund (PF)
    • ESI coverage
    • Travel Allowance for official duty
    • Company Leave Policy

The company holds the right to terminate the engagement with 15 days’ notice without assigning any reason.


Selection Method

FACT will not conduct any written test or interview. Instead, the shortlisting of candidates will be done on merit, based on the following two factors:

  1. Earlier Year of Graduation
  2. Earlier Date of Birth

This means candidates who graduated earlier and are older in age (within the eligibility limits) will be ranked higher in the merit list.

Separate state-wise merit lists will be prepared for each participating state.


Application Process – Step-by-Step

Stage 1: Submit Online Application by 4:00 PM on 07 August 2025

  2. Navigate to the Careers section → Job Openings → Notification 07/2025.
  3. Click on the Online Registration Link.
  4. Fill out all required fields.
  5. Download the application form, fill it manually, sign it, and paste a passport-sized photograph.

Important Conditions to Note

  • Applicants can apply for only one state.
  • Applications without online submission or postal submission will be rejected.
  • No rounding off of percentage marks is allowed (e.g., 49.99% is not considered 50%).
